JadeHelmTitleOutpost is pleased to welcome new resident Debi Cornwall and her project Jade Helm. About Jade Helm: In 2015, the United States military planned to conduct realistic training exercises across the American Southwest. In another time and place, news of the exercises may never have lasted more than a single news cycle. But in Texas, a backlash erupted, and the exercises, called Jade Helm 15, became a national story with a surprise ending. How did this happen? Jade Helm is an experimental found-footage documentary short asking what is real, what is fake, how we know, and what’s at stake in perceiving the difference. The film is a freestanding chapter of Necessary Fictions, a multimedia contemporary art installation by civil rights lawyer turned conceptual documentary artist Debi Cornwall.
