    Outpost Artists Resources supports new creative work through its residencies, and events – its mission is to serve artists in need of technical assistance with video, audio, and physical computing based art projects and to foster a dialogue between visual art and experimental music. Outpost hosts gallery exhibitions, artists talks, screenings and events that pair visual art, video, experimental music, and performance in an effort to bring adventurous audiences challenging interdisciplinary projects.

Staff and Board

David Weinstein, is a composer, sound designer, audio engineer, and curator. He is producer and host of numerous radio projects chronicling activities of New York arts culture including for Clocktower Radio (formerly the radio station of MoMA/PS1), Ridgewood Radio on WFMU.org, Wave Farm’s WGXC-FM, and Roulette Intermedium’s Concert Archive and Podcast series. Weinstein was Program Director of the Manhattan alternative space, the Clocktower Gallery from 2009-15. He was MoMA/PS1 Director of Public Programs and Managing Director of its radio station from 2004-2008. Weinstein studied music composition at the University of Illinois with Ben Johnston and Salvatore Martirano. He is a founder and director of the New York new music concert hall Roulette. He has taught music, sound, and multimedia at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Yale University, and the City University of New York. He has worked as a consultant, panelist, curator, and organizer for arts organizations and companies from Morgan Stanley to MTV. Born in Chicago in 1954, he has lived in Brooklyn since 1979

Ruth Kahn, attended Reed College,the Gerritietveld Akademie, and is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute. Her drawings, objects and video work have been exhibited nationally and internationally through the Kitchen where she also curated two shows. She has exhibited at The Kitchen, the Drawing Center, the Clocktower, Threadwaxing Space, the Krannert Museum at the University of Illinois and the Brooklyn Museum. As noted above, she is the director and founder of Outpost Artists Resources and is an active artist who currently makes drawings, objects, and video.

Alley Scott is a producer, portrait artist, and performer living in Queens, New York. She has produced every show that Dutch Kills Theater Company has mounted in New York, Scotland, and Australia, including experimental and traditional theatrical pieces. These credits include Temping, Intelligence, The Antelope Party, Solitary, The Providence of Neighboring Bodies, Selkie, Klaxalterian Sequester, Latter Days, The Sister, In Quietness and Adventure Quest.  In addition Alley has produced dozens of developmental readings with the Loose Leaf Series by playwrights such as Celine Song, Alexandra Silber, and Kate Benson.  Alley’s portraiture explores the lesser known Greek myths and how they relate to the modern landscape. As a performer, Alley has performed in New York, Edinburgh and Washington DC to critical acclaim. Alley attended Oxford University, The British American Drama Academy and Franklin and Marshall College.
