Cuts and Burns Residency
Outpost Artists Resources supports new creative work through its residencies, and events – its mission is to serve artists in need of technical assistance with video, audio, and physical computing based art projects and to foster a dialogue between visual art and experimental music. Staff and Board
We are proud of the fact that we have an all female Board of Directors:
Enat Sidi, former manager of the Outpost, is now a feature documentary editor. Her notable credits include Boys of Baraka, Billy the Kid, and Jesus Camp, which was nominated for an Oscar.
Jesse Allen is a performance artist turned lawyer. She is a graduate of Tisch School of the Arts and her performance work has been shown at the Franklin Furnace, the Brooklyn Museum, and Home Theater. In 2001, she became an Associate Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice, where she litigated voting rights cases, including Johnson v. Bush, a class action challenging Florida’s permanent disenfranchisement of all those convicted of felonies.
Gail Vachon, is a graduate of Bard College and the Whitney Studio Program. She is the creator of over a dozen short films, which have been exhibited nationally and internationally and was a founding member of Y-Pants, the seminal 80s No Nave band. She is currently, also, a partner in Collido Media, designing and producing motion graphics for a wide range of clients.
Ruth Kahn, attended Reed College,the Gerritietveld Akademie, and is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute. Her drawings, objects and video work have been exhibited nationally and internationally through the Kitchen where she also curated two shows. She has exhibited at The Kitchen, the Drawing Center, the Clocktower, Threadwaxing Space, the Krannert Museum at the University of Illinois and the Brooklyn Museum. As noted above, she is the director and founder of Outpost Artists Resources and is an active artist who currently makes drawings, objects, and video.
